Carrel Chess Club Classes and Tournament Schedule
Classes
We will be running three separate classes per week, 1 beginner and 2
intermediate classes. The class length is 4 weeks. The cost is $45. The
class size is restricted to 8 people per class. Although we had a blast in the
last few classes (more than 10 participants in each) they are starting to get
a little large, even with 2 instructors. The last class of the session will be the
ever popular end of class tournament. Refreshments and food are provided
the day of Tournament and Trophies will be awarded!
Beginner’s Classes (4 Weeks 6pm-7:30pm)
Monday’s 1/12, 1/19, 1/26 and 2/2
Intermediate Classes (4 Weeks 6pm-7:30pm)
Tuesday’s 1/3, 1/20, 1/27 and 2/3
Intermediate Classes (4 Weeks 6pm-7:30pm)
Wednesday’s 1/4, 1/21, 1/28 and 2/4
Tournaments
1/31 Saturday – Rated C3 Action Open G30 5/SS. With 20 plus entries we will
run two divisions. (U1200 and Over 1200/Anybody can play up/No
restrictions). $15 entry fee INCLUDES LUNCH/Pizza AND Refreshments for
the duration of the tournament. Rounds are at 10am, 11am, 1pm, 2pm and
3pm. Registration begins at 9:00am. Cash prizes dependent upon
participation.
2/28 Saturday – Rated C3 Standard Open G60 4/SS. With 20 plus entries we
will run two divisions. (U1200 and Over 1200/Anybody can play up/No
restrictions). $15 entry fee INCLUDES LUNCH/Pizza AND Refreshments for
the duration of the tournament. Rounds are at 10am, 12:30pm, 2:30pm, 4:
30pm. Registration begins at 9:00am. Cash prizes dependent upon
participation.
3/7 Saturday – Rated C3 Action Open G30 5/SS. With 20 plus entries we will
run two divisions. (U1200 and Over 1200/Anybody can play up/No
