Carrel Chess Club Tournament Schedule
10/4 Saturday – Rated C3 Action Open G30 5/SS. With 20 plus entries we will
run two divisions. (U1200 and Over 1200/Anybody can play up/No
restrictions). $15 entry fee INCLUDES LUNCH/Pizza AND Refreshments for
the duration of the tournament. Rounds are at 10am, 11am, 1pm, 2pm and
3pm. Registration begins at 9:00am. Cash prizes dependent upon
participation.
10/18 Saturday – Rated C3 Standard Open G60 4/SS. With 20 plus entries we
will run two divisions. (U1200 and Over 1200/Anybody can play up/No
restrictions). $15 entry fee INCLUDES LUNCH/Pizza AND Refreshments for
the duration of the tournament. Rounds are at 10am, 12:30pm, 2:30pm, 4:
30pm. Registration begins at 9:00am. Cash prizes dependent upon
participation.
10/19 thru 11/9 6-16 yr old Chess Class. 4 Weeks, see classes tab for
information.
11/1 Saturday – Rated C3 Action Open G30 5/SS. With 20 plus entries we will
run two divisions. (U1200 and Over 1200/Anybody can play up/No
restrictions). $15 entry fee INCLUDES LUNCH/Pizza AND Refreshments for
the duration of the tournament. Rounds are at 10am, 11am, 1pm, 2pm and

11/15 Saturday – 2008 Scholastic Club Championships. If you are a
SCHOLASTIC participant of the Carrel Chess Club and are interested in
competing for our club and playing in this tournament please contact me.
Individuals play in 4 sections: K-12; K-8; K-5; K-3. Individuals do not play
members of their same club. G/45 G/40 with 5 sec delay. Rounds are at 9, 11,
1, 3, 5. $15 Advance by 11/07/08 $25 Advance by 11/14/08. NO ON SITE
REGISTRATION. On site check-in 7:30-8:15. All mailed entries must be post-
marked 11/07/08
ALL CLUB ROSTERS MUST BE CONFIRMED BEFORE ROUND 1. In each section
trophies to : Top 7 Individuals Overall + any with 4 points, Top 7 Clubs (top 4
individual scores from each club are used).
11/22 Saturday – Rated C3 Motor City Open Preparation Tournament.
Standard Open G60 4/SS. With 20 plus entries we will run two divisions.
(U1200 and Over 1200/Anybody can play up/No restrictions). $15 entry fee
INCLUDES LUNCH/Pizza AND Refreshments for the duration of the
tournament. Rounds are at
